usually, i don’t answer phonecalls from unknown numbers or private numbers. but about 5 mins ago, my phone started ringing, and i thought… i’ll be nice today and pick up the phone. so this is how the conversation goes.
me: hullo?
caller: hi! my name is *blahblahblah*. May i speak to Alysa… Ng?
me: yea that’s me….
caller: Yea, i’m calling from Guinness Stout! And we would like to get to know our customers better by asking u a few questions. Is now a convenient time for you?
me: No. Not really. and i don’t drink … stout…
caller: Oh. ….. Then it’s okay. Thank you for your time. Byeee *hangs up.
me: *bursts out laughing in front of my colleagues who think i’m crazy*
how the hell they got my number? can’t be random la right. makes me wonder also, how the hell did i get onto Zouk’s sms alert list. i’ve never even been there! *rollseyes. i’ve never tried drinking Stout before, but so far, the ppl i’ve seen drinking it are mid-day drunks at coffee shops, and the occassional aunties who order their stout hot. ewww. wait.. but i’ve eaten hak beh kuat (stout spare-ribs) before. what would that count as?
anyhoo. yes yes yes! katharine mcphee’s still in the race! wooo hoooo! was getting so sick of the bald rocker dude.too bad paris didn’t make it. i was hoping the top3 would be narrowed down to katharine, paris and elliot. oh well. hurry up the process already, dagnabbit!
oo ooo oooo! on 25th April 06, my eldest cousin sis gave birth by c-section to her first baby. a girl! woo hooo! went to visit both mother and baby about a week+ ago. she has so much hair on her head! supercute and all… hehe. and she sleeps like a cat! hands and legs everywhere but looks so comfy. aaaahh the life. :3 babies have it all gOod. i’m really interested in seeing her grow up. not sure if any of my nephew and nieces will remember me or will i get more chances to interact with them. cos none of them are from my immediate family. plus it’s such a common thing for new parents to hire au pairs to take care of their babies. why the hell would they need help from a relative for? *bahhhh. i wanna be a cool aunty! any new parents out there who want some time off? lemme take care of ur babies while u couples go off to have some paktoh time! :D u know… i’ve always been interested in children’s clothing as well. maybe it’s time to go on some fabric shopping, and to revive my sleeping sewing machine. ho ho ho.
ya lah. i know it’s very random. *twiddle thumbs innocently.
okay. i better get back to work now. *pooof*. *turns into a lemming.
