this is going to be my first cny back home in 3 years. and before these 3 years, cos my sis and bro were already overseas, so technically i haven’t had a proper cny with both my sibs back in.. say… 6?7 years? hmmm.

took a swim earlier, before going out for dinner. was so bloody hot that i had to go dip myself in the pool. helped alot, although i sat facing the sun for quite a bit (hoping to get a little tanned since they say it makes u look healthier?).

gotta help my mom pack angpows soon, and then at around 1-2am, jip choi san. wooo.. means i get to play with fire and contribute to pollution by performing the annual paper burning ritual. hmmm… maybe it’s because so many ppl are also burning the paper thingies at the same time that somehow it causes it not to rain on 年初一?

anyhoo. it’s gonna be the year of Dog eh. which also means i’m gonna be 24 soon. sometimes i forget how old i am. not that i have a problem with growing up/old, just that it feels a little surreal. am i any wiser? hehe

nonetheless, 恭喜发财！身体健康 ！出入平安！心想事成！万事如意 ！

oh yeah, and to be very random, while i was shopping in isetan klcc, they had christmas songs playing in the background… what the?! :P

damn you apple! damn you steve jobs! damn you to hellllll!!!!!!!! why won’t you have like a.. trade in your old powerbooks for a new macbookpro campaign? fark man. *show tantrum stomp stomp.

ok. so the office got broken into friday night/saturday morning. didn’t think to blog about it until it felt a little personal right about 30 mins ago. *stranggles thin air

they took my 60gb portable hdd (which had tonnes of mp3s, incomplete anime series, DH full season, movies, backup of my uni work, photos, old work file backups..) plus the usb cable but left behind the leather casing. then they took my usb donggle key thingy for the software i use at work (they probably thought it was a thumbdrive… suckers) which costs rm999 to replace!, and then they also took ndb’s genuine nokia phone charger that i had left plugged into the socket just for a few days to charge his mama’s mobile and a colleague’s mobile which is perpetually low on battery, 2 usb 256mb pendrives which had a really schweet meiji bear tied to it. :~( and to make it look even more petty, they took my little box of coins! asswipes!!!

other than the above mentioned, they even had time to gulp down a few cans of 100plus while they tried to crack open a safe(full of files) and remove a hanging projector, but only managed to get away with two company laptops, a dvcam,… but had to drop the bigass chivas that they took from big bosses office and leave behind the slightly mangled projector while making their run-for-it while they were coming out of the office and were discovered by the night shift guys who were on their tea-break.

so, what will their comeuppance be for people like this? what i’ll never understand is how do they even sit down together at some mamak one day and say to each other “hey, i know a place we could break into tonight. want in?” or should i feel pity for them? for maybe they might have life-0r-death situations that made them steal?

but u know what? thank god they didn’t break-in while we were still in office till about 8pm. i really don’t know how things would’ve turned out if they did.
